The PIC invests in both listed and unlisted companies to generate the requisite returns for its clients. PIC’s investment decisions are made by considering environment, social and governance (ESG) factors. The PIC’s belief is that good governance is an important factor that is central to creating sustainable returns. As an active shareholder, the PIC has direct interest in how investee companies are governed. It is for this reason that PIC recommends Directors for appointment to these companies.

Application Criteria:

Individuals must have integrity, demonstrate ethical behaviour and meet one or a combination of the following criteria to qualify for inclusion on the database:

• A minimum of five (5) years' exposure to the applicable sector/industry
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the listed and/or unlisted investments environment
• Knowledge and/or experience of finance or investments or a professional qualification in finance, law, human resources, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, construction, agriculture, etc
• Extensive knowledge and/or experience in business and/or the African markets/environment
• Five (5) years' experience of serving on Boards and Board Committees of listed and/or unlisted companies or Advisory Boards of Funds or Trustee in Trusts
• Preferably be a member of professional bodies such as the Institute of Directors, Ethics Institute, etc
• Former and/or retired professional are encouraged to apply

• All compulsory fields (*) must be completed
• All supporting documents must be certified (certified copies must not be older than 3 months at submission date)
• Incomplete application forms and/or falsified, uncertified, invalid documentation will not be considered
