The Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 was circulated in order to foster a culture of transparency and accountability in public and private bodies, such as the PIC, by giving effect to the right to access to information, and actively promoting a society in which the people of South Africa are better empowered to fully exercise and protect all of their rights as enshrined in the Constitution.
As the PIC possesses material information which may affect prices in the market, this information must be responsibly disseminated, taking into account the effect of the disclosures we make on the market, as well as the provisions of the Securities Services Act, 2004. PAIA aids the PIC to practise the necessary caution when handling the confidential information we possess.
The manual below serves as the PIC Manual in terms of the Act, and provides a reference to the records held and the process that needs to be followed to request access to these records.
In order to access the records as specified in the manual, please fill in the forms below and please take note of any applicable expenses specified.
