[column 12 class="text"]The PIC uses procurement to achieve two main objectives, namely: deliver on clients’ investment mandate and drive transformation. To discharge its investment responsibilities in line with its investment mandate, the PIC often procures services from service providers. The procurement activities are regulated by well-defined policies and processes to achieve maximum compliance and ensure that acceptable ethical norms and standards are upheld. These policies espouse the principles embedded in the government procurement legislations such as fairness, equity, transparency, competitiveness, value for money and risk management.
Procurement is also used as a tool to achieve broader transformational and developmental goals, as is evident from the analysis below.

Listing of the service provider database
The PIC encourages qualifying companies, which promote businesses owned by Historically Disadvantaged Individuals (HDI), to register on its database. To register, complete the
Supplier Registration Form
and submit it, together with the required supporting documentation, to
IsibayaTenders@pic.gov.za
.
Applicants are encouraged to list on the National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD), as consideration is given to service providers who are listed on the CSD. Questions relating to the listing should be emailed to
